The iPhone X Will Have Edge-to-Edge OLED Display
As the rumors predicted, Apple’s new iPhone X will have an edge-to-edge screen. It appears that there will be a small sensor and camera panel at the top of the iPhone; but the screen of the new iPhone X now stretches the full-width across. On top of that, the tenth-anniversary edition of the iPhone X will get an OLED screen for richer colors and less battery drain. Lastly, the iPhone X screen is slightly larger than that of the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus model at 5.8 inches, but the iPhone X itself is closer in size to the smaller iPhone 8. We’ll go over all the details on what Apple announced below.

Time to get used to swiping up to go to Home screen. The iPhone X has no Home button. Tap the screen or lift the iPhone to wake it up and swipe up to go Home. The large screen will allow you to easily switch between apps, just pull down Control Center from the top, and easily unlock the phone with Face ID. It may take time to learn these new ways of navigating your iPhone, but it’s worth it for the full edge-to-edge display, which will be 5.8 inches diagonally, by the way. The edge-to-edge display makes it possible for Apple to fit it’s biggest iPhone display ever into an iPhone very close in size to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8.
As for the Super Retina OLED display, Apple calls it the first OLED panel to meet its standards for color accuracy and brightness, boasting that the screen will offer a truly natural viewing experience.
Between the upgraded OLED screen and full use of real estate on the front of the iPhone, there’s a lot to love. What do you think?
