Oscar-winner Mark Rylance and Dylan O’Brien star in the trailer for the upcoming crime drama The Outfit. The movie focuses on Leonard (Rylance), an English tailor who operates a small tailor shop in a rough part of Chicago who finds himself having to deal with gangsters as clients. The Outfit marks the directorial debut of Graham Moore, who previously won an Academy Award for 2014’s The Imitation Game in the Best Adapted Screenplay category.

Focus Features has now released a trailer for The Outfit, which shows how Rylance’s character gets roped into a potentially deadly conflict involving gangsters with competing interests. Although it appears that Rylance does have some sense of the fact that his clients have a decidedly criminal bent, the tailor seems unprepared and initially unwilling to corporate with the shady individuals that arrive looking for his assistance. Written by Moore and Mad Men actor Johnathan McClain, The Outfit also stars Zoey Deutch, Johnny Flynn, Simon Russell Beale, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Alan Mehdizadeh. Moore has said in a past statement that he and McClain first thought of the idea for the crime drama ten years ago, and praised the talented cast. The film will be released in theaters on February 25, 2022.

The synopsis for The Outfit reads as follows: “Follows Leonard, an English tailor who used to craft suits on London’s world-famous Savile Row. But after a personal tragedy, he’s ended up in Chicago, operating a small tailor shop in a rough part of town where he makes beautiful clothes for the only people around who can afford them: a family of vicious gangsters.”
